Living in NYC has to be the greatest thing in the world. For me, it's one thing that I love most about who I am. I'm an actual city girl. Regardless if I get lost a million times over or walk in the wrong direction when getting off the train. None the less, I live in a magnificent city. New York City.
I love to find new places to eat, drink and be merry and that can sometimes be an overwhelming task. I mean, have you yelped "Places to eat in New York City?"- I think a bazillion things come up. Danny and I always complain loosely how there's the same things to eat in our neighborhood, It can get redundant at times. The one thing our Bronx neighborhood is missing is a quaint coffee shop. Well folks, not anymore. Welcome Filtered Coffee Shop located in the Mott Haven area of the South Bronx.
The most recent snow day, we took a ride to check out the scene. The coffee shop is located about 15 mins away from our apartment. Due to the inclement weather, it was extremely empty. Good for me. Bad for business. Danny and I had a couple of lattes and snap some pics. Side note: the coffee was delicious.
I couldn't imagine what this place will look like during warmer weather. Filtered Coffee Shop opened up last June and has been waiting for the Bronx Boom (trust me people, it's coming). If you're in the area and looking for a quiet coffee shop to read, work or just gab with friends-stop by Filtered. You will love it.
